Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:
Typically 3 years of development experience, ideally in the financial services industry, with Java as the primary programming language.
Collaborative, adaptable, and open to different perspectives and ways of working.
Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
High integrity and alignment with our fiduciary culture.
Desirable: knowledge of leveraging AI for code generation and building agents.
Desirable: knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
Desirable: experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase ASE.
Desirable: experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Apache Flink.
Desirable: experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
Desirable: experience with Agile processes.
Desirable: experience with DevOps and tools such as Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities:
Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements.
Design, develop, test, and support reliable, highly performant distributed Java-based applications, including real-time streaming with high-volume and concurrent workloads.
Present designs to technical reviewers and contribute to reviewing designs and code.
Improve reliability, observability, and performance.
Support production releases to help our team meet SLAs.
