Python Data Engineer – Systematic trading

6-12 month contract – REMOTE – specialist rate

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Python Data Engineer to join our high profile global hedgefund client.

You will be joining the small London team who are creating systematic fixed income trading strategies in Python. Your role assisting the team will be crucial to the teams continuing success.

Must have requirements:

• BSc Computer Science or quantitative degree with Top Academic Grades
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Expert in Python development
• Excellent data science experience
• Comfortable working with large volumes of data (aggregating and cleaning)
• API development
• Web data extraction

The role:

The role will be broad in nature but will be heavily involved in data science a Python development; a typical project may be simplifying huge data sets to create usable data for trading strategies.

No finance experience is needed for this role but you will have a chance work with some of the best minds in quantitative finance.

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting hedgefunds in the market, this is greenfield work and ideal for experienced contractors with trading experience in a similar setting.
