This is an opportunity to use your analytical knowledge in a role where you'll play an important part in ensuring laboratory data is accurate, complete and compliant. You'll work closely with laboratory analysts and management, reviewing analytical results and documentation while helping to maintain high standards across the laboratory.

The Role
As an Analytical Data Reviewer, you'll be responsible for reviewing chromatographic and analytical data, laboratory documentation and associated records to ensure work has been completed accurately and in accordance with approved procedures, methods and specifications.

You'll review testing across a range of laboratory activities, including in-process and final product testing, raw materials and cleaning validation or verification. You'll also work closely with analysts to resolve queries, improve documentation and reporting standards, and support an efficient and compliant data review process.

Key responsibilities
  • Review chromatographic and analytical data, laboratory write-ups and reports in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Review analytical testing to ensure it has been performed in line with approved protocols, analytical methods and specifications.
  • Review results from in-process testing, final product testing, raw material testing and cleaning validation or verification, checking for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
  • Ensure associated laboratory data and documentation, including electronic data, notebooks, logbooks and worksheets, are complete and appropriately reviewed.
  • Check documentation for accurate data reporting, transcription and referencing.
  • Work collaboratively with analysts to identify and resolve required corrections to laboratory documentation.
  • Support analysts in improving the quality and consistency of analytical data documentation and reporting.
  • Escalate deviations, discrepancies or potential issues identified during the review process promptly to management.
  • Communicate potential data-review delays and their causes clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with management to prioritise review activities and assignments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the data review process.
  • Support other appropriate activities aligned with the responsibilities of the role.

  • Experience reviewing analytical or laboratory data and associated documentation.
  • Good understanding of chromatographic data and analytical testing.
  • Ability to review detailed scientific data accurately and identify discrepancies or incomplete information.
  • Understanding of working to approved analytical methods, specifications, protocols and SOPs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to documentation and data quality.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with laboratory analysts and management.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively.
Desirable:
  • Experience reviewing in-process, finished product or raw material analytical testing.
  • Experience with cleaning validation or verification data.
  • Experience reviewing electronic analytical data alongside laboratory notebooks, worksheets and logbooks.
  • Experience supporting improvements to laboratory documentation or data-review processes.
Learning opportunities
This role offers the opportunity to further develop your expertise in analytical data review, laboratory quality and scientific documentation.

You'll gain broad exposure to different types of analytical testing and have the opportunity to strengthen your understanding of data quality, laboratory procedures and compliant analytical reporting. You'll also work closely with analysts and management, giving you the opportunity to build your coaching, communication and continuous improvement skills.
