Asset Data Analyst in Alloa, United Kingdom

About the role

GreenPower is seeking to appoint an Asset Data Analyst who will have overall responsibility to collect, manage and analyse data from operational renewable generation and/or other GreenPower energy assets including wind, hydro, EV, hydrogen and solar.

This is a pivotal, collaborative role designed for an experienced and skilled hands-on technical analyst or engineer. For our new development areas such as EV and hydrogen production in particular, you will have the opportunity to establish new data infrastructure, define high-integrity data processes, and lead the delivery of automated reporting for project teams, senior management, and investors.

The post offers the successful applicant the opportunity to lead operational asset data handling and analysis across key areas of the business. Applicants should have a strong technical and scientific background and, preferably, relevant experience in a similar role.

Essential candidate criteria

1.     Degree or higher national diploma (HND) in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.

2.     Proven experience cleaning and processing time-series data using tools including Excel, SQL and Python.

3.     Experience in obtaining operational data from SCADA systems or industrial internet platforms.

4.     Strong engineering mindset with the ability to interpret SCADA data to understand technical faults in physical equipment.

5.     Ability to translate complex data findings into simple, actionable insights.

6.     Familiarity with gathering data through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

7.     Full, current driving licence valid for driving in the UK.
