City of Worcester, United Kingdom

Here's a more hands-on Azure DevOps Engineer version rather than a Manager/Lead profile:

Azure DevOps Engineer | Global Risk Consulting Firm | £500-550/day via Umbrella | London Hybrid

We're supporting a leading global risk consulting firm looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join an initial 6-month engagement, with strong potential to transition into a longer-term Associate Consultant position.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on supporting, optimising and enhancing an established Azure DevOps environment. You'll work closely with development, infrastructure and delivery teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, reporting and platform performance across a large-scale enterprise programme.

Assignment Details

  • London (1-2 days per week)
  • Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential
  • £500-550/day via Umbrella Company

Key Experience Required

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, Pipelines and Test Plans
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates)
  • Azure cloud services and deployments
  • Automation and scripting (PowerShell, YAML, Bash)
  • Power BI reporting and Azure DevOps dashboards
  • Release management and deployment optimisation
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments

Desirable Experience

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400 or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure platforms
  • Hospitality, travel, transport, logistics or retail sector experience
  • Consulting or advisory background
  • Experience integrating Azure DevOps with Microsoft tooling and security controls

What We're Looking For

  • A proactive engineer who enjoys solving problems and improving delivery processes
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and automation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating within complex enterprise environments

As part of becoming an Associate Consultant, successful candidates will be subject to financial and criminal background checks and will need to provide their two most recent employment references.

This version should attract actual Azure DevOps engineers (AZ-400/Terraform/CI-CD practitioners) rather than Scrum Masters, Delivery Leads or DevOps Managers.
