Azure DevOps Engineer in Mary-le-bone, United Kingdom

• Proven experience on NHS or UK government programmes
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and Repos
• Solid Azure experience covering compute, networking, storage and identity
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or Bicep
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Experience with containers such as Docker and orchestration tools such as AKS or Kubernetes
• Good understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
• Desirable: Experience with NHS Digital or NHS England platforms and standards
• Desirable: Knowledge of the GDS Service Standard and government assurance processes
• Desirable: Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Grafana
• Desirable: Azure certifications such as AZ-400 or AZ-104

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Automate builds, testing and releases across multiple environments
• Monitor platform health, performance and cost
• Build security and compliance controls into pipelines and infrastructure
• Work with developers, testers and architects to support smooth releases
• Support incident response and troubleshoot issues in live services

Were looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to join a major NHS programme, building and running the pipelines and cloud infrastructure behind services used across the health system. The role is based mainly remotely, with roughly one day a month in London. It offers a rate of £500 per day inside IR35 and runs until 31 March 2027.
