Extensive commercial experience building complex Windows desktop applications with C++ and MFC
Proficiency with architectural patterns such as MVVM
Familiarity with Windows 11 development, Azure DevOps, Git, and Visual Studio
Desirable: experience with hardware control, image processing, or ML/AI
Desirable: working knowledge of C#/.NET
Desirable: background in software architecture or technical leadership
Able to work onsite in the Cambridge area at least 2–3 days per week
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain desktop control software using C++/MFC, with some C#/.NET elements
Work with UX designers and application specialists to support software usability
Maintain software documentation, change control, and version-tracking standards
Collaborate with cross-site teams in the UK and Europe in an Agile environment
