Curriculum & Technical Support Assistant: Science in United Kingdom, Barnsley

Penistone Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Curriculum & Technical Support Assistant to join our outstanding Science team.

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning within the Science curriculum area, working closely with Science leaders to provide student-facing support, administration and help prepare resources and equipment for lessons.

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Working Pattern: 39 weeks Term-Time (incl. 5 INSET days), 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am-3.30pm

Salary Range: Grade 6, SCP 18-23 - Actual Salary £25,959pa to £28,344pa

Start Date: ASAP

You will work directly with students both in the context of whole-class support and in small groups, helping to promote progress, independents and engagement in learning. You will also provide technical and administrative support, including the preparation of practical resources and equipment, assisting with lesson planning, maintaining stock and ensuring that learning environments are safe, organised and well-resourced.

Experience of working in a similar role or educational setting is essential, and experience within a science environment would be advantageous. This role would be ideal for someone who shares our vision of providing a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
