Strong hands-on data engineering experience in modern cloud-based environments
Experience with Snowflake and building scalable data platforms
Expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing
Good understanding of data governance, security, and best practices
Previous experience mentoring, leading, or developing team members
Comfortable working autonomously and acting as the senior data authority within a business
Enjoys solving complex problems and building capability where none previously existed

Responsibilities:
Take ownership of our data platform and Snowflake environment
Design, build, and optimise data pipelines and integrations across multiple business systems
Improve data quality, reliability, performance, and monitoring
Bring fragmented data together to create a scalable and trusted data ecosystem
Define data architecture, standards, governance, and security controls
Work closely with senior technology leadership to shape the long-term data roadmap
Collaborate with third-party partners as we transition more data ownership in-house
