Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to support a major consulting-led digital transformation programme for a UK Public Sector Government client. The successful contractor will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouse and data engineering solutions, ensuring the efficient integration, transformation, and management of large-scale data sets within a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data warehouse solutions.
Build, maintain, and optimise ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Develop and enhance data integration workflows using IBM DataStage.
Work with Oracle databases to manage, query, and optimise data structures and performance.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and integration issues.
Ensure all development activities comply with security and governance requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Data Warehouse Development and Data Engineering.
Proven expertise in ETL development and data integration methodologies.
Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database technologies.
Experience working on complex data migration, integration, or transformation projects.
Desirable Skills
Experience working within secure, highly regulated, or government environments.
Previous Public Sector or Government project experience.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards
