The Role Margene is seeking a Design & Development Intern to support the studio across design, pattern cutting, and development. Working closely with the design team, this role will contribute to the day-to-day activities of the studio. Key Responsibilities Design & Development Assist with draping, pattern cutting, and garment development within the studio.
Support the preparation and adjustment of toiles during the sampling process.
Assist with fittings, taking notes, and implementing pattern corrections.
Prepare patterns and development documentation. Studio Support Assist with cutting, preparing, and organising fabrics and materials.
Support the preparation of garments for fittings, presentations, and photography.
Assist with general studio activities as required. Skills & Experience Must be on a placement year from university
Strong interest in garment construction and pattern development.
Basic knowledge of draping and pattern cutting.
Attention to detail and careful handling of garments and materials.
Ability to work with precision in a studio environment.
Currently studying or recently graduated in fashion design or a related discipline.
