Financial Controller in Leighton Buzzard, United Kingdom

Jacob Grey have just partnered with a growing manufacturing SME to appoint a new FC to lead their day to day finance operations.

Reporting to the joint Managing Directors (one of whom is also the CFO) your duties will include:

– Hands on preparation of the monthly Management Accounts including Balance sheet reconciliations, P&L production, Accruals, Prepayments and Journals

– Presenting the Management Accounts to the Senior Leadership Team with variance analysis and commentary

– Year End production including liaising with auditors

– Overseeing VAT submissions

– Managing and developing a small team of transactional staff

– Annual Budget setting and review

– Cashflow forecasting and management

– Acting a business partner to the senior leadership team, offering sound commercial advice based on insightful analysis

The ideal candidate will either be a Qualified Accountant, already used to performing a leadership role OR a finalist/newly Qualified Accountant who can grow into this role (the CFO will offer training and development, and the salary will naturally be adjusted accordingly).
