HP
Cambridge, United Kingdom
Full Stack Developer
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Cambridge, working on the Wolf Security Controller, a web-based management platform for our security products. The Controller provides security policy and software updates for endpoint security products installed on client PCs. It also receives status, event and threat data from these clients, including malware traces used to produce interactive visualizations within the Controller UI and summarized reports.
The Controller is deployed at scale, both on-premises within corporate enterprises supporting tens of thousands of clients, and in the cloud across multiple Amazon AWS instances. As the platform continues to scale, you will contribute to the development of new capabilities, support additional products and enhance existing functionality. Working within a small and focused engineering team, you will have the opportunity to develop across the full technology stack, with the flexibility to specialize in front-end or back-end development. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the Windows endpoint management platform using C# and C++.
You'll join a talented and collaborative engineering team where your ideas are valued and your impact is visible. We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive environment where engineers are trusted to take ownership, solve meaningful technical challenges and continue developing their skills. Whether you're enhancing existing services or delivering new features, you'll be working on products used by customers around the world while collaborating with experienced engineers who are passionate about building high-quality software.
This role is based in HP’s Cambridge office under a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum requirement to be onsite three days per week. As a people‑focused senior role, regular in‑person collaboration is encouraged.
HP has invested in a new, modern site, including ergonomic workspaces and well stocked kitchen facilities that included a wide selection of coffee.
You’re out to reimagine and reinvent what’s possible- in your career as well as the world around you. So are we. Inspired by the isolation principles of traditional virtualization, our team known then as Bromium, created a game-changing technology called micro-virtualization to protect end users against advanced malware. Every task the user performs, such as opening a document or clicking on a link, is isolated in its own micro-VM, with access to just the resources required for that task, and existing just for the life of the task. Protection is thus provided through isolation, without relying on detection, hence reliably defending the user from polymorphic and even zero-day malware.
Bromium was acquired by HP Inc on 19 September 2019 forming HP Wolf Security.
