Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4) Neurodiversity Lead

18 hours per week – Permanent - Term-Time plus 1 week (39 weeks per year)

NJC Band G £31,537-£35,412 (pay award pending) Actual salary based on 39 weeks £13,683-£15,364

The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly proactive Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Level 4to join our dedicated Learning Support Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed professional to play a leading role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a particular focus on neurodiversity.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be confident to liaise with the Head of Learning Support, the Head of Student Services, class teachers, parents and a range of external agencies. The successful candidate must also hold a HLTA Level 4 qualification or above (or equivalent) and experience of working with young people with neurodiversity.

Qualifications or training related to neurodiversity conditions are desirable.

You should be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively as part of a team and have excellent classroom skills.
