Vacancy description

IT Systems Developer in London, United Kingdom

Jellycat

  • ContractFixed-term or freelance

London, United Kingdom

For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.

You’ll join our in-house Business Systems team, working across ERP, eCommerce, CRM and BI, with a particular focus on our D365 F&O environment. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on how Jellycat operates globally, identifying opportunities to improve processes, developing and testing functionality, and helping create more seamless connections across our systems.

Working in an Agile environment, you’ll deliver meaningful improvements through two-week sprints, balancing immediate business needs with our longer-term technology strategy. Ultimately, you’ll help us build simpler, smarter and better-connected systems that support great decision-making and an exceptional experience for our customers.

You'll be;

  • Managing full lifecycle development projects.

  • Supporting workshops to understand business processes and document business requirements.

  • Carrying out business and systems analysis and producing clear documentation.

  • Supporting product design and conducting gap analysis against standard product functionality.

  • Configuring and setting up applications to meet business needs.

  • Delivering system training to internal and external users.

  • Developing and delivering effective testing strategies.

  • Working closely with in-house and partner development teams to deliver robust solutions on time.

  • Managing change control throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Developing your professional and technical skills, including working towards relevant certifications.

  • Delivering developments against agreed success criteria and business requirements.

  • Working within an Agile sprint methodology, with priorities set by the Digital Product Owner.

  • Identifying opportunities to use business systems across other areas of the organisation.

  • Staying curious about how automation can solve problems, improve ways of working and bring others along with new solutions.

You'll have;

  • Substantial, up-to-date experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ professional development experience within a production environment.

  • Experience with .NET or Python, Visual Studio and object-oriented design.

  • Experience working with Azure Integration Services, including Function Apps and Logic Apps.

  • Strong functional knowledge across 3–4 of the following Microsoft Dynamics areas:

    • Procurement and Sourcing

    • Supply Chain Management

    • Sales and Marketing

    • Product and BOM Management

    • Manufacturing (Discrete, Process or Lean)

    • Retail

    • Planning and Forecasting

    • Warehousing and Transportation

  • The ability to analyse and bring together information from a range of different sources.

  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how technology can support wider business needs.

  • Experience working within an IT service environment and managing against SLAs would be desirable.

  • Microsoft Dynamics accreditation would be desirable.

  • A proactive, analytical and curious approach to problem-solving.

  • A hands-on, practical approach, with the confidence to take ownership and lead from the front when needed.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to quickly become part of a small, focused team.

  • A strong sense of service, accountability and ownership.
