6+ years of commercial Java development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices
Solid understanding of agile delivery and day-to-day use of Azure DevOps
High standards for clean code and version control
Clear communication skills and confidence guiding junior team members
Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
Eligibility to work full-time in Ireland without restrictions
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain Java microservices and reusable Spring Boot components
Translate business requirements into clean, scalable, well-tested solutions in collaboration with analysts and operations colleagues
Follow and champion coding standards, architecture guidance, and source control practices
Manage work through Azure DevOps within an agile delivery model
Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
Identify ways to improve code quality and team delivery
