Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year Requirements:

  • Active SC clearance (essential); the posting also states candidates should preferably have SC/DV clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo SC/DV clearance.
  • 3+ years experience as a Java Developer using Java 8+ to build microservices.
  • Strong Spring Boot, REST API design, and SOAP/WSDL/XML experience.
  • TDD and BDD experience using JUnit and Cucumber.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD, and SonarQube.
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle, and Git.
  • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, plus MongoDB or another document database.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix.
  • Nice to have: experience with Angular, React, https://jobeax.com/link/JSd7UYCSg572jJDY, or JavaScript.
  • Nice to have: experience with Keycloak, Kafka or ActiveMQ, Mockito, Jackson, or JAX-RS.
  • Nice to have: experience with high-traffic sites or large data sets.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy RESTful and SOAP microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and deliver features.
  • Write clean, well-documented code following SOLID principles.
  • Carry out unit and integration testing and build automated test suites.
  • Participate in code reviews and produce low-level design documentation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications that adhere to industry best practices and standards.
