Cobham, United Kingdom

Part-time: 3 days per week, term time plus 3 weeks

Reed’s School is a fantastic place to work. Teachers and pupils alike flourish in its friendly, supportive, forward-thinking community. It is a leading HMC independent day and boarding school, currently providing an education for around 850 pupils between the ages of 11 and 18 years, with girls joining in the Sixth Form. From September 2027, the School will begin its transition to full co-education by admitting girls to Year 7.

We are looking to appoint a Learning and Development Co-ordinator to work within the HR department and across the Schools. Core responsibilities include co-ordinating staff induction, monitoring compliance with mandatory and safeguarding training requirements, and maintaining training records and learning systems. The role will involve monitoring training for both School-employed staff and self-employed coaches and tutors.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and highly organised individual who builds positive working relationships and is keen to contribute to a culture in which staff feel valued, supported and developed.

The closing date for applications will be midday on Thursday 12 November 2026.

For safer recruitment purposes, all applicants must complete a Reed’s School application form. Full details, including a and application form, are available on our website. Alternatively, these can be requested by emailing [email protected] .

All interested applicants should apply by using the links on the school website.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit a completed application as soon as possible. The School reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date, should a suitable candidate present themselves.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The School may carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants, and all applicants will be required to provide details of their online profile, including social media account names/handles, as part of their application.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
