Who we are

Phorest started in 2002 on a busy salon reception desk as a simple text-reminder tool.

Today, we're a SaaS company and a trusted partner to over 155,000 hair, beauty and medspa professionals worldwide. Our all-in-one software and AI-driven tools help them manage bookings, take payments, market their services, grow their client base and get the best from their teams.

Everything we build helps the salon and medspa industry thrive.

We're also a Certified B Corp, and 25% of the company is owned by Phoresters. When the company grows, everyone has a stake in that.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Engineering team at Phorest.

You'll work alongside talented engineers, product managers and designers to build and improve the technology that powers thousands of salons, spas and MedSpas around the world.

This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale SaaS platform, building intuitive, high-quality user experiences that make a real difference to the businesses that use Phorest every day.

Our frontend technology stack includes https://jobeax.com/link/X3QvRK9ey5EsemGG, JavaScript and Tailwind, alongside technologies such as GraphQL, Apollo and Node.js. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, cares about the details and wants to continue developing their skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.

You'll be part of a team that values clean code, practical solutions and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to contribute your ideas and help shape how we build our products.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications that deliver a great user experience.

  • Work closely with engineers, product managers and designers to turn requirements into well-designed, shippable features.

  • Build reusable, maintainable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks and our design system.

  • Contribute to technical discussions and help make informed decisions about frontend architecture and implementation.

  • Write clean, well-tested code, following engineering best practices.

  • Develop automated unit and acceptance tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software.

  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, accessibility and the overall user experience.

  • Take ownership of your work from development through to deployment and ongoing improvement.

  • Participate in code reviews, share knowledge and learn from other engineers.

  • Stay curious about emerging frontend technologies and contribute ideas to improve how we work.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, working with https://jobeax.com/link/X3QvRK9ey5EsemGG or another modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular or Vue.

  • You have a strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and experience building modern web applications.

  • You're comfortable working with RESTful APIs, with GraphQL experience being a bonus.

  • You have experience building responsive, reusable UI components and working with design systems.

  • You understand the importance of code quality, testing, maintainability and performance.

  • You can reason about technical trade-offs and contribute to discussions about frontend solutions.

  • You enjoy collaborating with designers, product managers and other engineers to solve problems.

  • You're proactive, take ownership of your work and aren't afraid to ask questions or share your ideas.

  • You have a growth mindset, enjoy learning and are keen to continue developing your technical skills.

  • You're a collaborative team player who values feedback, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
